The Machine Builder Apprentice position at ArtiFlex Manufacturing offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in machine construction and rebuilding while receiving mentorship from seasoned professionals. This apprenticeship program combines practical training with classroom learning, following the standards set by the United States Department of Labor. Over the course of four years, apprentices will accumulate 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and related classes, paving the way for a successful career in skilled trades.

  • Construct, build, and rebuild machines and fixtures in the automation facility.
  • Participate in hands-on training using various tools and machines such as mills, lathes, and welding equipment.
  • Engage in classroom learning covering topics like Technical Math, Industrial Graphics, and Machine Trades Blueprint Reading.
  • Work alongside experienced professionals to develop precision skills in manufacturing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Punctual, reliable, and safety conscious.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Ability to serve, prioritize, and multi-task to support multiple areas.
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and perform essential functions of the position.
  • Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques (MIG and TIG).
  • Knowledge of electrical controls, PLC, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
