About The Position

The position is located in East Lansing, MI, and involves teaching a minimum of 5 hours a week on court. The candidate must have a strong background in pickleball, tennis, racquetball, or squash, be a good tournament player, and be an excellent instructor. The role also requires actively promoting the Michigan Athletic Club's (MAC) racquet program throughout the state.

Requirements

• USPTA professional or Elite, PTR professional L2 or higher, IPTPA or PPR Professional or higher.
• Minimum of 2 years as a teaching pro at a club or resort.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong tennis and pickleball playing skills and teaching skills.
• A person who leads by example.
• A self-confident person with an outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Teach private or group lessons as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate class records.
• Promote the MAC's tennis & pickleball program throughout the MAC and community.
• Lead and coordinate with fellow coaches to execute the classes and program as assigned.
• Attend all staff meetings.
• Motivate students with new techniques.
• Assist in running tournaments at the MAC.
• Keep court areas picked up and looking great.
• Provide individual and group lessons for players.
• Demonstrate knowledge and respect for patient, service provider, organizational confidentiality and HIPAA Security procedures and protocols.
• Follow established HIPAA privacy procedures when using and/or disclosing protected health information.
• Maintain and protect patients' rights under the HIPAA Privacy Standards.
• Adhere to ICARE values (Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence).
