About The Position

Olmec Systems is seeking an experienced macOS IT support specialist to join our team, providing managed IT services to a dedicated client in Manhattan. This role is crucial as it involves being the key technical resource for the client's office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and coordinating all tech-related activities. The ideal candidate will be passionate, positive, and hardworking, with a strong focus on customer service and technical expertise. The position requires daily reporting to the downtown office from Monday to Thursday, with Fridays typically being a work-from-home day. Occasional travel to a company office in Red Bank, NJ, may also be required. The successful candidate will work within an all-Mac network that utilizes various cloud-based services, including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Okta. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including day-to-day user support, hardware troubleshooting, OS and software troubleshooting, and basic network troubleshooting. The candidate will also assist with short-term and long-term IT projects and manage relationships with third-party vendors as they pertain to the client's IT setup. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and is eager to learn new technologies and management processes. As part of a collaborative team, the candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with users, translating technical issues into layman's terms. The role requires a self-starter with project management skills who is not afraid to engage in hands-on user support. The candidate will be involved in all areas of IT, including cybersecurity, hardware and software support, end-user support, and cloud services.
