About The Position

Primary Purpose: To provide patient care, following provider orders, a smooth flow of patients, and insurance specifications in accordance with state and federal regulations, JCAHO standards of care and promote the Cass Regional mission statement. Highest level of customer service is expected in every aspect of the position by using the principals of AIDET.

Requirements

Knowledge of nursing skills
Venipuncture skills
Patient triage skills
Knowledge of pharmaceuticals
Operation of equipment skills
Knowledge of insurance company requirements
Knowledge of insurance contracts, CPT, and ICD-10 coding
Good communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to act independently
Current LPN license in the State of Missouri or current MA Certification
BLS required

Responsibilities

Provide patient care, following provider orders
Ensure a smooth flow of patients
Adhere to insurance specifications in accordance with state and federal regulations
Adhere to JCAHO standards of care
Promote the Cass Regional mission statement
Provide the highest level of customer service using the principals of AIDET
Provide input into policies associated with the job’s purpose and essential responsibilities
Determine physician needs and act accordingly
Decide appropriate scheduling
Verify complete patient information
Verify insurance coverage
