The position involves assisting with patient flow, greeting and escorting patients throughout the facility, and performing clerical tasks such as answering phones and proper disposal of HPI. The role also includes serving as a liaison between the patient and the imaging team, escalating patient concerns to the Licensed Radiologic Technologist, restocking supplies, and properly handling medical equipment. Additionally, the position requires assisting with room and equipment preparation before and after imaging studies, reviewing screening questionnaires, positioning patients, setting proper technical factors, administering radiation, and understanding Radiology workflows and metrics. Other responsibilities include practicing Patient/Staff Experience initiatives, learning the QA Program and radiation safety policies, taking vital signs, performing EKGs, height and weight measurements, conducting point of care rapid testing, performing urinalysis, urine culture, pregnancy testing, ensuring infection control, and assisting providers in applying prefabricated splints.
