About The Position

SSM Health Dean Medical Group is seeking qualified candidates for various positions including Medical Assistants (MA, CMA, RMA), EMTs, Paramedics, and LPNs. The role involves assisting with patient examinations and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The position offers a competitive wage, comprehensive benefits, and a sign-on bonus of up to $7500 for eligible candidates. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts varying between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, and no nights, weekends, or holidays are required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
  • Graduate of accredited school of medical assisting or education equivalency for certification.
  • State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
  • Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Medical Assistant (CMA), or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse.
  • Performs select clinical duties.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
  • Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, scheduling patients, and filing.
  • Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
  • Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
  • May document the provider's encounter with patients.
  • Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider.
  • Transcribes patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
