About The Position

SSM Health Dean Medical Group in Janesville is seeking dedicated healthcare professionals for various positions including Medical Assistants (MA, CMA, RMA), EMTs, Paramedics, and LPNs. The role involves assisting with patient examinations and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. Responsibilities include patient rooming, assisting in office procedures, administering injections and vaccines, and performing general clinical and administrative tasks using the electronic medical record program (Epic). The schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts varying between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, and there are no night, weekend, or holiday shifts. Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
  • Graduate of accredited school of medical assisting or education equivalency for certification.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or equivalent from recognized organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse.
  • Performs select clinical duties.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
  • Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, scheduling patients, and filing.
  • Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
  • Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
  • May document the provider's encounter with patients.
  • Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider.
  • Transcribes patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
