This is a critical full-time, permanent position in our Professional Services team. This customer-facing role is responsible for designing, implementing, and migrating infrastructure and collaboration solutions for RKON’s customers primarily related to mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and divestitures. Consultants will also assist RKON operations to ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions for our clients. The ideal candidate for this role will have 5-10 years of experience acting as a customer-facing solutions engineer or system administrator with strong and broad knowledge of Microsoft-centric business technology solutions and Microsoft 365 including endpoint management, Entra/InTune/Teams/SharePoint, information security & compliance. In addition, a strong understanding of team-based project delivery, work planning, and the ability to work independently is required.

  • Responsible for building and implementation of solutions involving M365, Entra, and endpoints.
  • Manage the execution of tenant-to-tenant migrations, including migration toolset recommendation and operation (e.g. BitTitan, Quest, AvePoint, Sharegate).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within a team, including consultants from our Cloud & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Professional Services, Sales, and Sales Operations practices.
  • Orchestrate knowledge transfer and sharing best practices with team members that help enhance the quality and efficiency of customer service and process management.
  • Develop new opportunities and work with account teams to identify, pursue, and close strategic business development.
  • Engage with clients and prospects to understand the nature of their business problem(s), and leverage knowledge and expertise gained over time towards architecting a recommended solution.
  • Participate in presales and scoping efforts to understand scope, cost and complexity, and create statements of work and work breakdown structures with minimal oversight.
  • Perform detailed discovery and migration planning leveraging RKON’s proven playbook.
  • Participate in, as well as lead, discussions with key decision makers related to solutions, risks/challenges, and deployment strategies & timelines.
  • Work through complex Statements of Work (SOW) to determine the appropriate deliverables and outcomes.
  • Create presentations and work products to help facilitate decision making or drive clients & projects towards a desired outcome.
  • Assist with facilitation of change management activities alongside technical task execution.
  • 5-10 years minimum of similar work experience in a client facing or technology consulting role.
  • Strong design and operational experience with Microsoft Active Directory including consolidation, separation, and upgrades.
  • Significant comprehensive M365 administration experience including Exchange Online, Teams, mobile device and endpoint management, Teams, Teams Voice, Purview, Conditional Access, and Power Platform.
  • Strong experience with on-premises systems management.
  • Deep understanding of M365 tenants specifically and SaaS applications in general.
  • Extensive experience (10+ projects) planning and executing cloud migrations, including but not limited to: M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, email migrations, endpoint migrations (both cloud-to-cloud and on-premises-to-cloud), voice migrations, including number porting and call queues/auto-attendants, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and file share migrations.
  • Expert level with M365 including Entra, Exchange, Intune, End Point Management, and SharePoint.
  • Experience configuring Microsoft Entra Connect.
  • Familiarity with migration tools such as Quest, BitTitan, and AvePoint.
  • Strong experience with Powershell scripting preferred.
  • Solid experience in an IT consulting/professional services role.
  • Experience working for an MSP and/or working with multiple environments is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organization, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be adaptable, collaborative, energetic, self-motivated, excellent team player, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to travel as needed up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to occasionally work after hours and weekends for project cutovers.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Microsoft 365 Intermediate or Expert level certifications.
