About The Position

The Leidos Government Health & Safety Solution Group, supporting the End User Centric IT Support (ECIS) Contract for CMS in Windsor Mill, MD, is seeking an M365 Power Platform Architect. This program delivers end-user centric IT solutions to CMS, focusing on innovative and seamless experiences with their systems, secure IT integrations, user devices, infrastructure, and applications, while protecting data. The successful candidate will work in an Agile ITIL environment with a strong DevOps focus, as part of the ECIS M365 Engineering Services Team. The role involves providing expert support for the M365 Power Platform, designing, developing, and delivering software solutions to enhance Microsoft product experiences. This position requires the ability to independently develop solutions or recommendations for complex problems, often necessitating a flexible schedule, and to present technical documents tailored to customer environments and objectives. Participation in scrum sprint activities related to M365 Power Platform solutions is expected, along with clear written and verbal communication with technical staff and senior management. Additional duties include troubleshooting and collaborating with various technical teams such as Service Desk, Datacomm, EUA, Security, and Engineering Teams on technical issues.

Requirements

  • BS degree and 12 – 15 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 10 - 13 years of relevant experience (additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher security clearance.
  • Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and Dataverse.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure DevOps, and their integration with Power Platform.
  • Must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior (for CMS programs).

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and OAuth.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service).
  • Extensive experience with API integrations and custom connectors.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and design of enterprise PowerApps (Canvas & Model-driven apps) and Power Automate Flows.
  • Design, develop, and deploy custom applications utilize Power Apps.
  • Create and maintain workflows through Power Automate to streamline business processes.
  • Utilize Copilot Studio and AI Builder to integrate AI within developed solutions.
  • Integrate Power Platform applications with other Microsoft and third-party applications.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct code reviews and solution assessments for Power Platform deliverables.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Gather requirements from business analysts and stakeholders, translate them into technical solutions.
  • Assist with customer workshops to identify pain points and design effective solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power Platform applications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Collaborate with other support teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Promote a collaborative culture and foster innovation.
  • Develop engineering documentation on current and proposed solutions, including Visio diagrams and run books.
  • Work independently and provide team guidance when necessary.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum sprints and other Agile ceremonies as required.
  • Keep up with emerging technologies and evaluate their impact and benefit to the customer.
  • Provide guidance on risks related to data privacy, ethics, and compliance.
  • Independently develop solutions to resolve a wide range of complex issues for both internal and external customers, including vendors.
  • Troubleshooting and collaborating with other technical groups like Service Desk, Datacomm, EUA, Security, and Engineering Teams.
