About The Position

Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and practice activities within a multidisciplinary, family-centered care environment. The Registered Technologist will handle the full spectrum of tests and procedures related to MRI exams, manage patient information registry and report preparation, perform equipment maintenance, and undertake other relevant duties. The role requires working across all three hospitals within the Scarborough Health Network.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the CMRTO
  • Current Canadian Magnetic Resonance certification
  • Thorough knowledge of the theory and practices of procedures, equipment and special techniques related to MR
  • Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to work well with patients, families, all levels of staff and the community
  • Able to function effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work well independently and to exercise sound judgement
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to SHN's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, and environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area
  • Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public

  • Demonstrates excellent work performance and attendance record
