We are currently hiring for the position of M&R (Maintenance & Repair) Inspector. This role is essential to the daily operations of our terminal and is responsible for efficiently and accurately inspecting trailers, chassis, and containers for any type of damage coming through IN-Gate. As an M&R Inspector, you will conduct joint inspections with DCLI to safeguard against potential discrepancies. You will communicate any observed ramp damage to the operations team to facilitate timely corrective measures.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a gate clerk or in a similar role within the intermodal rail or logistic industry is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and data entry software
  • Basic knowledge of transportation and logistics operations
  • Familiarity with relevant safety and security regulations
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections on trailers, chassis, and containers, or processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct joint inspections with Direct Chassis Link (DCLI) to safeguard against potential discrepancies.
  • Communicate any observed ramp damage to the operations team to facilitate timely corrective measures.
  • Perform Daily inspections chassis Entering or Leaving the yard gate using a handheld mobile technology device.
  • Mark and input the issues found of the chassis and communicate/document damages found immediately.
  • Weekly Yard Inventory Check
  • Direct Drivers Chassis Lots
  • Performs work in accordance with established safety & quality management procedures
  • Operate Yard Hostler & Forklift as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
