About The Position
The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District is seeking an intern to serve in the Engineering Department. The intern will assist engineers with checking electrical design documents, file storage and post award checking. Intern will gain knowledge and practical experience in electrical engineering in wastewater treatment industry.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program (B.S.), majoring in electrical engineering.
- Must be entering third or fourth year of undergraduate school Fall 2026.
- Knowledge of power engineering, circuits, motors, controls classes/labs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with field inspections
- equipment documentation
- document review, and minor calculations.
- Learn how to read/review electrical one-line and control drawings.
- Learn about and view different pieces of electrical equipment, such as switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, motor control centers, motors, variable frequency drives, PLCs, and how they are applied in an industrial environment.
