Requirements

  • Degree in electrical, mechanical, or clinical engineering, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in electronic design or repair.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in supervision of technical professionals.
  • Electrical engineering or similar degree required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for oversight of device and supply acquisition, implementation, and strategic operational plans of the Southcoast Health System for the clinical engineering department.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient utilization of all medical equipment and technology used in the delivery of healthcare services at all Southcoast Health System (SHS) locations.
  • Develop and maintain departments operational and capital budget.
  • Responsible to provide oversight of third-party vendor services in the clinical engineering space.
  • Collaborate with ePMO, Supply Chain and Logistics department, third party vendors, and end users to provide direction with projects within the SHS which require clinical engineering resources.
