About The Position

The M&A Project Manager plays a critical role on the Corporate Development team, leading the planning, coordination, and execution of mergers and acquisitions from initial diligence through integration. This individual ensures that all corporate development initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives. Operating at the center of highly cross-functional activity, the M&A Project Manager partners closely with Finance, Legal, Commercial, Operations, IT, HR, and external stakeholders to drive disciplined execution across the deal lifecycle. This role requires strong project leadership, business judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining momentum across complex, high-stakes initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5–10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience managing M&A projects from diligence through integration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience within healthcare: preference for OEM/manufacturing and/or distribution business. Acute care setting and B2B are helpful.
  • Business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing internal alignment and pre-diligence project activities during the deal sourcing phase is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management of M&A initiatives.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Establish governance structures and reporting frameworks.
  • Identify risks and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Commercial, Operations, IT, and HR.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings and decision forums.
  • Synthesize cross-functional inputs for decision-making.
  • Apply data and market insights to evaluate trade-offs.
  • Escalate issues appropriately.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and updates.
  • Translate complex information into actionable insights.
  • Influence stakeholders and drive alignment.
  • Improve M&A processes and tools.
  • Develop playbooks and best practices.
  • Drive adoption across the organization.
  • Strengthen M&A capabilities through knowledge sharing.
  • Seek feedback and stay updated on trends.
  • Support training and readiness efforts.
