About The Position

Madison Energy Infrastructure (“MEI”) believes in the power of clean energy infrastructure and has quickly emerged as a preeminent developer, investor, asset owner, and operator of distributed generation. This role represents a critical next step in MEI’s evolution toward offering direct, end-to-end services to Fortune 500 corporates, public entities, nonprofits, and other private customers alike. As a Summer 2026 Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting high-impact initiatives within the M&A team. This role is designed to provide meaningful exposure to the clean energy industry, real project ownership, and the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing organization.

Requirements

  • A rising undergraduate Junior or Senior studying Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field)..
  • Interest in renewable energy systems, solar project development, or power infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in working in a team environment and learning about the energy industry with real-life work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Energetic and ready to tackle new projects and ideas.
  • Hands-on, with careful attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Hard-working and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deadline oriented.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with technical diligence for renewable energy projects, including review of engineering designs, site layouts, and equipment specifications.
  • Supporting the team in analyzing solar production estimates, system performance assumptions, and project design parameters.
  • Working with engineering and development teams to review project drawings, technical documentation, and engineering reports.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of technical project summaries and diligence materials.
  • Supporting additional technical and project development initiatives as needed.
