About The Position

Job Summary: As a Senior Project Manager on the Integration Management Office PM (IMO PM) team, you will lead the strategic and operational aspects of various M&A projects at Qualcomm. Your role will be crucial in leading due diligence, Day 1 planning, and the successful implementation of longer-term integration strategies. The successful candidate is someone able to confidently direct multiple workstreams in the execution of a comprehensive integration approach that meets the strategic rationale of the acquisition. This will require the candidate to have a firm grasp of Qualcomm’s corporate objectives and effectively advocate for the business and functional areas alike in leadership settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of project management or related work experience.
  • OR Associate's degree and 7+ years of project management or related work experience.
  • OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 9+ years of project management or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data into models and dashboards
  • Firm grasp of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Nice To Haves

  • MBA / advanced degree, or PMP certification
  • Prior Big 5 consulting experience or Fortune 100 corporate program management experience
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and influence across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to inspire and mentor junior team members, provide development opportunities, and share best practices

Responsibilities

  • Establish program governance including roles and responsibilities, program infrastructure, and other factors in the work environment supporting the effort
  • Lead diligence efforts that efficiently address the top concerns of functional teams
  • Directly engage with the deal team and workstream leads to address due diligence findings and ensure all follow up areas are adequately digested prior to deal sign
  • Support communication efforts among executives, program directors, and steering committees
  • Evaluate integration budgets based on workstream business cases; develop a comprehensive financial model and present a concise view of resource requirements to secure approval from senior leadership
  • Own the Employee Experience. Lead the communication effort and support initiatives that create a positive impression for incoming employees
  • Chair weekly cross-functional diligence and integration meetings that highlight key updates, decisions needed, updated timeline, and next steps
  • Lead efforts with business unit and engineering leads to ensure that we are executing on the deal rationale post-close and delivering on integration milestones
  • Solve problems: assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem
  • Continuously refine and enhance the M&A team's playbook, challenging existing processes and innovating more efficient practices
