About The Position

The M&A Analyst (CPA) at Icon Enterprises plays a crucial role in executing mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions. This position requires leveraging CPA credentials and accounting expertise to conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation modeling, supporting decision-making and deal execution. The analyst will manage the financial books of acquired subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards, while also providing significant exposure to high-level corporate transactions and opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

  • CPA certification is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSF) preferred.
  • Strong experience in M&A, investment banking, transaction advisory services, or a related field.
  • Strong accounting foundation with experience in financial reporting and analysis, including managing financial books.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and PowerPoint; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and build complex valuation models (DCF, LBO, comparable companies).
  • Perform due diligence, including financial statement analysis, quality of earnings reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify acquisition targets and evaluate strategic opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and transaction summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in structuring and negotiating deal terms, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Manage the financial books and records of acquired subsidiaries, including consolidation and reporting activities.
  • Provide accounting expertise to assess the financial implications of deals and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee integration of subsidiary financials into the parent company's systems and reporting structures.
  • Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes impacting M&A activities.
