About The Position

The life management engineer will perform analysis required to establish safe operating life limits for the engine’s most critical rotating parts across the Lynn site engine product lines (Turboprop/Turboshaft and Turbofan/Turbojet). You will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering and/or Aerospace

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in low cycle fatigue (LCF), fracture mechanics or aviation preferred
  • Prior experience in Life Management or other analysis teams preferred

Responsibilities

  • Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program product requirements
  • Required analysis will range from low cycle fatigue (LCF), fracture mechanics, and probabilistic lifing analysis of critical parts or mission analysis
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated
  • Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
