About The Position

The Lymphedema therapist functions as a member of the healthcare team. The purpose is to provide medically prescribed Lymphedema therapy programs in accordance with national standards and administrative policies of the hospital. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform to his/her maximum ability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school.
  • Current Missouri State Occupational Therapy License and Lymphedema Certification required.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS required upon hire.
  • One year experience as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist prior to obtaining Lymphedema Certification.

  • Provide medically prescribed Lymphedema therapy programs.
  • Restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery, or loss of a body part.
