When you join our team of over 45 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealths mission in the communities we serve. As a Occupational Therapist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action. The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients as medically prescribed, in a professional manner and within hospital standards, adhering to the corporate compliance plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
  • Occupational Therapist (OT) [Required] OR
  • Occupational Therapist - Temporary [Required]

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical experience treating Lymphedema Patients

Responsibilities

  • Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.
  • Designs and implements a treatment plan of care utilizing best practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patients needs.
  • Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with lymphedema related pathology
  • Educates patients and their families about treatment plans and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
