Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of South Carolina
  • Current BLS certification required
  • At least one year of professional experience is required to serve as a clinical supervisor
  • Experience working with Lymphedema patients
  • Experience working with pediatric populations with developmental delays or autism
  • Experience with sensory integration therapy techniques

Nice To Haves

  • Interest or experience in neuro outpatient therapy is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Administering manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, and therapeutic exercises
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and physician referrals
  • Providing outpatient neuro OT services (optional) for those interested in expanding into neurological rehabilitation
  • Treating pediatric patients, including those with developmental disabilities, autism, and sensory integration needs
  • Delivering care in a collaborative, supportive, and flexible outpatient setting
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop appropriate plans of care and rehabilitation goals
  • Deliver direct, hands-on occupational therapy services to both inpatient and outpatient populations
  • Utilize therapeutic equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of evaluations and treatments
  • Communicate regularly with attending physicians regarding patient progress
  • Apply age-appropriate techniques and guidelines in all patient interactions
