Lymph Patient Service Representative – Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison between patients, Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLTs), and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) vendors to ensure timely and accurate acquisition of compression garments. Verify insurance benefits and coverage for compression garments, including prior authorization requirements, patient responsibility, and coverage limitations. Coordinate and submit DME orders, ensuring all required clinical documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner. Identify missing or incomplete documentation and proactively communicate with therapists to obtain needed information to prevent delays in garment delivery. Track and manage the status of all compression garment orders using Excel, Epic, or other data-tracking tools to maintain real-time visibility across the lymphatic program. Communicate regularly with patients regarding order status, expected timelines, barriers, and next steps, providing clear and compassionate customer service. Schedule and coordinate compression garment fitting appointments in collaboration with therapists and DME vendors. Maintain organized records for a large volume of patients and orders supporting a multi-site outpatient team of Certified Lymphedema Therapists. Answer general, non-clinical questions from patients regarding compression garments, ordering processes, and expectations, escalating clinical questions to therapists as appropriate. Support ongoing process improvement and efficiency in the compression garment workflow to improve patient access and reduce therapist administrative burden. Collect and organize data related to garment acquisition timelines, barriers, and outcomes to support quality improvement and reporting initiatives. Represent the lymphatic therapy team professionally and positively in all patient, vendor, and internal communications. · High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates' or Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or business field preferred. · 1-2 years in medical or healthcare office; knowledge of healthcare terminology, insurance authorization, and benefits. · Proficiency in healthcare terminology and billing practices, experience with obtaining authorization and benefits · Bilingual (highly preferred) Required Skills & Qualifications Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage many moving parts across multiple patients, therapists, and vendors. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a patient-centered approach. High level of comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic medical records (Epic). Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow complex workflows with attention to detail. Experience in healthcare administration, patient services, insurance verification, or Durable Medical Equipment (DME) coordination preferred (but not required). We take great care of careers.
