About The Position
Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116 bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. We are located about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. We serve children, adolescents, and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health. The hospital also has services in intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services. Website: www.kingwoodpines.com Click here for a virtual Facility Tour Position Summary The LPN/LVN will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, geriatric and chemical dependency patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing required.
- Current Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in the State of Texas required.
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience required.
- CPR and HWC Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work.
Nice To Haves
- Psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer medication and medical treatment as prescribed by a physician
- Recognize signs and symptoms of chemical dependency disorders and apply/utilize appropriate treatment interventions
- Assist with milieu management
- To respond to crisis situations
- Document nursing care, treatment, and patient’s response
