Requirements

  • Current valid license as a licensed vocational nurse in the state of practice
  • Must possess valid basic life support (BLS) certification
  • At least 2 years of experience as a nurse required
  • Experience administering oral, IM, and SQ medications
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an ambulatory care setting and/or specialty area such as: infusion, ER, Urgent Care
  • IV therapy experience and strong IV skills are highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating patient care
  • Comprehensive nursing assessment
  • Patient teaching and/or instructions of medication and disease process
  • Medication administration under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Patient safety, monitoring, and follow-up
