About The Position

High Desert Medical Group/Heritage Health Care is seeking a full time LVN Supervisor for our Heritage Health Care (HHC) Palmdale location. The Supervisor will provide direct supervision and coordination to the nursing and physician staff and act as a resource person for the Heritage Health Care location. They will maintain and encourage a professional, positive, customer service oriented in HHC while ensuring adherence to clinic policies and procedures. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $76,960.00 – $102,627.00/hour, exempt; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school for Licensed Vocational Nurses.
  • Current California LVN license.
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Ability to work in a multi-task, high volume environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all Heritage Health Care nursing and PSA staff, ensuring productivity and efficiency.
  • Interview, hire, and discipline employees with assistance from Sr. VP Medical Group Operations.
  • Annual evaluations of employee work performance.
  • Maintain current employee files of vacation/sick time.
  • Submit accurate time sheets to payroll after each pay period.
  • Develop staffing schedules and daily assignments.
  • Monitor staffing patterns and make appropriate changes to maintain the desired skill mix, while meeting the needs of the clinic.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient flow. Make appropriate changes to improve services.
  • Assure training and orientation of all new employees, as well as updated training for current employees on new equipment, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain current communication books, policy and procedure manuals, and safety manuals.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriately stocked crash box.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of medication and documentation.
  • Monitor all supplies and order new ones as necessary.
  • Assume responsibility for the maintenance of equipment and instruments.
  • Attend monthly supervisory meetings.
  • Conduct quarterly staff meetings.
  • Act as a resource for staff and providers.
  • Function as a patient advocate and work to resolve patient care problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
