Requirements

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
  • Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing School program OR become licensed by equivalency required
  • LVN - Current State of California Licensed Vocational Nurse License required
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct bedside care and treatments for residents with long-term and complex medical needs, following individualized care plans.
  • Support RNs by monitoring resident status, reporting changes in condition, and administering medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
  • Supervise and guide CNAs and other support staff to ensure high-quality, consistent care throughout each shift.
  • Promote a safe and therapeutic environment by upholding infection control, safety protocols and standards.
