LVN/RN Clinical Supervisor

About The Position

The LVN/RN Clinical Supervisor provides day-to-day clinical leadership and operational oversight across multiple clinic sites, ensuring high-quality, efficient care delivery and a positive patient experience. This role supervises clinical support staff (MAs and LVNs) and collaborates closely with the Manager of Integrated Care, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and site leadership to optimize workflows, staffing, and cross-functional communication.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program.
  • Current, unencumbered LVN or RN license in the state of Texas.
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-site clinical operations and staff scheduling.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (preferably EPIC) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and team-building skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or with underserved populations.
  • Familiarity with HRSA, UDS, FTCA, HIPAA compliance standards, and quality improvement frameworks.
  • Experience managing clinical support staff in a primary care or integrated care environment.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles, population health data, and patient-centered workflows.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency in wound assessment, treatment, and documentation, including experience managing both chronic and acute wounds.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Operations & Workflow Oversight
  • Monitor staffing needs and coordinate clinical coverage across all sites in collaboration with site leads, the Manager of Integrated Care, and the CMO.
  • Assign duties and adjust schedules for clinical support staff based on competencies, provider schedules, and real-time clinic needs.
  • Oversee inventory and supply management, including point-of-care medications, equipment, medical gases (Airgas), and safe handling of biohazards and sharps.
  • Ensure oversight and compliance of HHH’s vaccine program, supply ordering, and environment of care standards by directly managing processes or delegating to project leads, including adherence to storage/handling protocols, regulatory requirements, and clinic readiness.
  • Ensure equipment is functional and calibrated; support day-to-day lab operations.
  • Partner with the Manager of Integrated Care and CMO to support smooth implementation of workflow changes and optimize EPIC utilization.
  • Provide guidance on escalated patient situations and support teams in managing difficult or disruptive patients.
  • Team Supervision and Development
  • Directly supervise and support MAs and LVNs, promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Participate in the hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of clinical support staff.
  • Address interpersonal issues and support team cohesion through coaching, conflict resolution, regular feedback, and annual reviews.
  • Facilitate routine staff huddles and meetings to ensure communication across departments.
  • Support cross-coverage and schedule changes to maintain seamless operations during staff absences.
  • Patient Access and Experience
  • Collaborate with front desk operations to ensure accurate registration, timely check-in, and strong customer service.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for patient complaints related to front-end service or clinical support, ensuring resolution within 48 hours.
  • Monitor and support improvement efforts around patient experience, access, and satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Quality
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Integrated Care to implement quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure team compliance with timely patient follow-up, documentation, and other clinical and operational workflows.
