About The Position

This position is responsible for providing acute nursing patient care in a safe, appropriate and effective manner under the direction of a Registered Nurse, in compliance with the LVN Practice Act. Additional responsibilities include collecting patient information, timely and complete documentation of patient care and implementation of assigned tasks, medical orders and plan of care. Integrates patient care standards into all patient care activities. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC- Anaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC Inc. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of AHMC- ARMC and AHMC Inc. The employee shall support AHMC- Anaheim Regional Medical Center’s strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and AHMC Inc initiatives.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an LVN School of Nursing.
  • One year acute care experience as an LVN in Medical Surgical Services required. In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for an employee with strong education and associated experiential background and/or work history.
  • Basic Arrhythmia
  • Current CA LVN license
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS
  • Current Healthcare Provider ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • IV certification
  • Phlebotomy certification
  • EKG Certification
  • MAB (for ED)

Responsibilities

  • Consistently applies infection control policies/practices.
  • Meets population/age specific competencies.
  • Attends department specific education/training, inservices, and staff meetings.
  • Department specific performance improvement project.
  • Provides for psycho-social, spiritual and cultural needs of the patients, family, and others.
  • Provides for the education of patients, family, and others.
  • Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently provide care in emergency situations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently administer medications, intravenous therapy, etc.
  • Demonstrates competence in the performance of duties/responsibilities related to patient care.
  • Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently use equipment, supplies and perform therapeutic/ diagnostic interventions.
