About The Position

The position involves assisting patients (and parents/guardians), staff, and physicians to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to the designated pediatric patient population. The role requires successful completion of an LVN/LPN program and a California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license. The candidate will be responsible for various essential functions including customer service, department efficiency, human resource management, nursing competencies, quality initiatives, and technical skills related to patient care.

Requirements

• Successful completion of LVN/LPN program.
• California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians - REQUIRED.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

• 1 Year LVN experience in related clinical area.
• Experience as pediatric LVN highly preferred.
• Ambulatory care experience.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association - PREFERRED.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and guardians to maintain operational efficiency and customer service.
• Provide physical assistance to patients as needed.
• Monitor patient flow and physician schedules.
• Participate in staff training and serve as a preceptor for new staff.
• Complete quality assurance assignments and ensure department compliance.
• Provide education to patients and guardians on various health topics.
