About The Position

Assists patients (and parents/guardians), staff and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to the designated pediatric patient population. This is a float pool position that services the following Sharp Rees-Stealy locations: San Diego Main (Kearny Mesa) La Mesa Santee Otay Ranch

Requirements

• Other : Successful completion of LVN/LPN program.
• California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians -REQUIRED
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
• Skills as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical skill and nursing judgment.
• Ability to prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures.

Nice To Haves

• 1 Year LVN experience in related clinical area.
• Experience as pediatric LVN highly preferred.
• Ambulatory care experience.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association -PREFERRED
