About The Position

This is a float pool position that services the following Sharp Rees-Stealy locations: San Diego Main (Kearny Mesa), La Mesa, Santee, and Otay Ranch. The role involves assisting patients (and parents/guardians), staff, and physicians to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to the designated pediatric patient population.

Requirements

• Successful completion of LVN/LPN program.
• California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians - REQUIRED.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

• 1 Year LVN experience in related clinical area.
• Experience as pediatric LVN highly preferred.
• Ambulatory care experience.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association - PREFERRED.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients and guardians, ensuring a high level of efficiency and customer service.
• Monitors patient flow and physician schedules to complete daily tasks.
• Provides physical assistance to patients as needed.
• Maintains patient privacy and adheres to confidentiality policies.
• Participates in clinical projects as directed by the physician or manager.
• Provides education to patients and guardians on various health topics.
• Completes quality assurance assignments and ensures department compliance.
