Priv Duty LVN or RN for weekend morning shifts 6a - 10a

BrightStar Care has a private duty nursing opportunity (RN or LVN) for a client in Sugar Land, TX. Looking for a nurse to commit to every other weekend from 6a - 10a on Sat &/or Sun, other shift potentials as well as visits available throughout the week if interested. Requirements
- Current unrestricted RN or LVN license in state of Texas
- Minimum one (2) year of documented experience required
- Tracheotomy experience required
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
- Clean background and criminal record
- Negative Pre-Employment Drug Screen
- Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull.
- Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Perform Care as defined by patient’s individual Plan of Care and within scope of state’s nurse practice act.
- Monitor patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
- Patient flow sheet charting
- Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
- Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
- Counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs
- Variety of assignments (Infusions, injections, wound care, clinical trials & more)
