The Nurse Supervisor assists in administering, directing and coordinating all activities of nursing services to ensure meeting the nursing needs of the residents. Schedule- Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited vocational school of nursing
- A current Texas LVN license
- At least two years of general nursing experience, including supervision and geriatric nursing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities
- Make daily rounds to all nursing units, ensuring that all staff are present, supplies are stocked and readily available and the unit is running smoothly.
- Visit and follow-up with families and elders reviewing clinical records, documenting and communicating as appropriate, being proactive with family communications.
- Provide oversight for healthcare infection control, ensure staff are following proper policies and procedures, conduct infection control in-services for staff and answer questions.
- Assure accurate and complete nursing documentation by regularly reviewing documentation in the EMR; following up with staff to complete documentation and provide education as needed.
- Assist in maintaining the department in full compliance with Federal, State and local regulations.
- Perform other duties as needed.
