About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the NICU at El Paso Children's Hospital is responsible for providing patient care activities and interventions for patients of varying ages under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This part-time position requires effective communication skills and technical competence in nursing tasks.

Requirements

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of Texas.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire.
• STABLE certification within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient care activities/interventions for patients of varying ages.
• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Document patient care activities using computers.
• Follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
