About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) provides recovery focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the physician. This role involves the safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care. Telecare's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. This position is part of TAO, a Full Service Partnership in Orange County, CA, serving 240 adults (age 18+) with a serious mental illness.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) /Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) program and current licensure
  • Current CPR/BLS certificate
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be CPR, First Aid, and CPI certified (hands-on course) on date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintain current certification throughout employment
  • Successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification
  • If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment
  • Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver

Responsibilities

  • Provide recovery focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the physician
  • Provide safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care
  • Use personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
  • Use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
  • Use personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc.
