About The Position
Montare Behavioral Health is looking for LVN's for our mental health residential and outpatient treatment facilities located in the Encino and Tarzana area! The LVN is responsible for providing a variety of nursing services with focus on prevention, treatment, education, and rehabilitation of the physical and mental health of the client. The LVN collaborates as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to develop and implement effective treatment strategies. Availability, we are currently looking for: Full Time position, 5 days a week -Swing Shift 2pm-10pm; on call -Day Shift 8am-4pm; on call
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- LVN/LPT licensure required. Possession of a valid license/certificate of registration issued by the California Board of Nursing Education and Nurse registration is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.
- Hiring is contingent upon completion of a Background Check, TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical. Current First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire.
- For the mental health residential program- additional requirements include receiving DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance or an exemption and a submission of a signed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508).
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a mental health treatment facility preferred.
- Experience working with a caseload of up to 12 clients preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists with self-administration of medication and records clients vital signs.
- Conducts initial intake assessments and evaluations.
- Ensures accurate documentation of medication and lab orders.
- Observes clients, charting and reporting changes in client conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and takes any necessary action.
- Answers client questions regarding medication orders and provides education.
- Responsible for the management, organization and safety of medication room, including supply inventory and equipment compliance.
- Evaluates medical concerns and directs clients to emergency medical care when required.
- Works with the treatment team and physicians to assess client needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions.
- Reviews medication logs, conducts daily medication counts and requests refills as needed.
- Assists with monitoring and supervision of clients to support non-clinical staff and provides crisis intervention when necessary.
- Performs breathalyzer analysis and monitors urine test samples from client.
