About The Position
El Camino Health is excited to offer a Bridge Program into Acute Care Mental Health & Addiction Services for LVNs and LPTs This program is designed for LVN/LPTs who have experience working in non-acute care mental health settings (such as Residential Treatment, Outpatient Program, clinic setting) who are interested in transitioning into Acute Care Mental Health & Addiction Services. We will also consider New Grad LPTs who have a strong focus on Mental Health and Addiction care. Please include current Resume with application Word or PDF format only ( no MAC Pages)
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current CA LVN or LPT license.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for collecting and documenting clinical data on patients during admission and throughout the hospital stay.
- Provides interventions which are within scope of licensure practice that follow policy/procedures/treatment plan/MD orders.
- Assists patients to improve level of functioning.
- Provides information to RNs and others for the assessment, care-planning, and provision of care on the psychiatric unit.
- Participation is expected in continuing education, development of unit programs, facilitation of staff communication and assistance to other units when needed.
