About The Position

The position involves directing the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the long-term care facility. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with written policies and procedures, reviewing department manuals, and making recommendations for revisions. The role requires participation in quality assurance programs, facility surveys, and the development of resident discharge plans. The position also involves administrative duties such as completing medical forms, maintaining reports, and ensuring confidentiality of resident information. Additionally, the role encompasses charting and documentation, drug administration, personnel functions, nursing care, staff development, safety and sanitation, equipment and supply management, care plan assessment, and budget planning. The position requires a Nursing Degree from an accredited institution and a current, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must have a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of residents.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants.
