About The Position

Vibra Healthcare is seeking Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurses to join our team for PRN NOC Shifts. Ballard Rehab Hospital, located in San Bernardino, CA, is a 60 bed rehab facility providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Requirements

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
• IV Certification required.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of clinical experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Three (3) years medical/surgical experience preferred.
• One (1) year of area specific experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for clinical functions on the unit, including all aspects of patient care incorporating the nursing process in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act.
• Ensure that the unit functions in a smooth, organized, and efficient manner as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Provide direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care.
• Demonstrate clinical competence and manage patient care.
• Improve quality of care and establish professional relationships.
• Utilize professional skills and fulfill responsibilities of the role of the hospital.
• Develop clinical expertise per specialty.
