The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at CHOC Children's is responsible for providing patient care within the LVN scope of practice for a designated group of pediatric patients. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and is supervised by an LVN Supervisor, RN Charge Nurse, or MD. The position is full-time, with a focus on delivering exceptional care to the pediatric population in a hospital setting.

  • Provide patient care for a designated group of pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Assist in the coordination and management of patient care under supervision.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and respect for cultural and spiritual needs.

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in acute pediatric care or ambulatory setting.
  • Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Vocational Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse - California (LVN) required.
  • Ped Emerg Assess Recog & Stabil (PEARS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Experience in administrative support and partnering with nursing staff.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
