About The Position

Cypress Creek Hospital is seeking Full-Time Night Shift Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide nursing care for psychiatric and chemical dependency patients. The role involves administering medication, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring patient safety under the direction of a registered nurse. This position is critical in delivering compassionate care to a diverse patient population in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current license to practice in the State of Texas.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Administer medication and medical treatment as prescribed by a physician.
• Assist with milieu management.
• Document ongoing patient progress clearly and concisely as required by hospital and regulatory agency standards.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Ensure nursing interventions are appropriate and documented in crisis situations.
• Report unsafe conditions.
• Provide age-specific communication, limit setting, and interventions.
• Provide health education to patients and their families.
• Interact with patients and staff in a professional manner, promoting teamwork and demonstrating Service Excellence.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
