About The Position

R&K Specialized Homes, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide essential medical services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a group home setting. The role involves ensuring the medical needs of clients are met, training staff, and overseeing medical systems within the homes. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an LVN and in group home settings, with responsibilities that include assessment, training, and acting as a liaison with various stakeholders.

Requirements

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
• Valid Driver's License
• Experience working in a group home setting with individuals with IDD

Responsibilities

• Create foundational assessment for all staff, licensed and unlicensed, to use as a guide to provide medical services
• Ensure medical needs of consumers within assigned caseload are identified and provide intervention plan to meet such needs
• Provide initial and ongoing training to staff
• Delegate skilled tasks to unlicensed personnel as competency allows
• Bill nursing services where applicable per billing guidelines
• Serve as Medical Team Lead during state audits
• Proactively assess individuals' medical needs
• Ensure medical systems in group homes and related worksites are being followed
• Ensure medical supplies are available/obtained to meet medical needs of caseload
• Review staff documentation
• Act as liaison between facility, governing agencies, and community
