Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • One year or more of experience as an LVN is required.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.
  • Other certificates as required by unit/service.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care and education for patients in the ambulatory clinics/areas under supervision.
  • Use the nursing process to ensure physical, social, psychological and spiritual needs are met.
  • Assist in the determination of predictable healthcare needs of clients within structured healthcare settings.
  • Utilize a systematic approach to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care.
  • Coordinate care between members of the healthcare team to optimize patient understanding of their condition and care requirements.
