As a Charge Nurse, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for assigned clinic patients, as directed by the Clinic Director and/or Nursing Director, to facilitate the delivery of prompt, quality care. In this role, you will actively participate in LEAN/HONSHA trainings and serve as a member of the Core Team, contributing to clinical initiatives aimed at achieving quality outcomes and metrics. You will build positive relationships with staff, inspire them to perform at a higher level, and prepare career development plans to retain an accountable workforce. Your responsibilities will include coaching and counseling staff, administering appropriate disciplinary actions, and ensuring effective communication with the interdisciplinary care team, including Physicians, PSRs, Medical Assistants, and others. You will be responsible for completing all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring that subordinate staff also adhere to documentation standards. This includes documenting patient history and maintaining compliance with TJC, DHS, CHDP, and Medi-Cal Managed Care requirements. You will keep the clinic workflow moving efficiently, focusing on productivity, including assigning lunch times and breaks, ensuring exam rooms are set up, ordering supplies and vaccines, and supporting provider productivity. Additionally, you will participate in continuous improvement activities and ensure that appropriate Lean tools are deployed and evaluated. Other duties may include performing Waive Testing and Phlebotomy, provided appropriate training has been completed, and ensuring staff receive all new hire and annual trainings on time.
