About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position at Community involves identifying patient needs, maintaining quality standards, and providing basic patient care. The LVN works closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) to perform various skills and procedures, contributing to a nurturing and dynamic team-oriented atmosphere focused on comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required.
• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing School program or equivalent required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Current State of California Licensed Vocational Nurse License required.
• LVNIVTX - IV Therapy Certification (LVN) required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and maintain quality standards.
• Provide basic patient care to patients.
• Partner with Registered Nurses (RNs) to perform skills and procedures outside the LVN's clinical scope of practice.
• Utilize skills and talents for the care of patients in a team-oriented environment.
