About The Position

The LVN position is a part-time role focused on overseeing the daily functions of nursing assistants in a long-term care facility. The role involves ensuring compliance with facility policies, coordinating nursing services, and participating in quality assurance programs. The LVN will also be responsible for administrative duties, documentation, and maintaining communication with residents and staff.

Requirements

• Current LVN license in California.
• Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and other departments.
• Knowledge of nursing service procedures and compliance regulations.

• Experience with quality assurance programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants according to current regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance of nursing personnel with facility policies and procedures.
• Review and recommend revisions to department policies and procedure manuals.
• Plan shifts' services, programs, and activities with nursing staff and support personnel.
• Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure compliance with its procedures.
• Make written and oral reports regarding shift activities as required.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to maintain total care regimen.
• Participate in the development and implementation of the facility's quality assurance program.
• Assist in facility surveys conducted by authorized government agencies.
• Review and update residents' written discharge plans as necessary.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports and maintain the Daily Census Report.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms and charting.
