About The Position

The Lvl III Staff RN in San Marcos is responsible for providing professional nursing care in an ambulatory infusion setting. This role involves leading the healthcare team, ensuring quality patient care, and adhering to established standards and policies. The RN will utilize the nursing process to develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, and ensure effective communication with patients and families. Requirements

• One (1) year recent full-time equivalent experience in acute care, ambulatory care, or home health/palliative/hospice care.
• Pediatric Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Certification OR Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Provider Certification.
• Registered Nurse License (California).
• Basic Life Support certification.
• PICC didactic course and recent PICC insertion experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
• Lead the healthcare team, delegating tasks appropriately and demonstrating accountability.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care, ensuring they reflect multidisciplinary planning and patient needs.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans based on ongoing evaluations.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control, addressing patient concerns and education needs.
• Document nursing interventions and evaluations accurately and timely.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities and maintain workplace safety standards.
• Practice customer service standards and provide an optimal patient care experience.
• Act as a resource and mentor to new employees and team members.
