About The Position

LUXURY CONSIGNMENT CASHIER MY SISTER'S CLOSET SCOTTSDALE, AZ LINCOLN VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTER My Sister's Closet has been in business since doors opened in 1991. We consign luxury designer brand clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories, it's a great way for the consignor to make extra cash and the shopper to find great pieces of high-end fashion at an excellent price. We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced consignment retail environment. As the final point of contact for our customers, the Cashier plays a key role in delivering a positive shopping experience. This position is responsible for processing sales transactions, ensuring accuracy in handling merchandise and payment, and supporting the overall operations of the sales floor. Full Time Wage is based on experience in this field

Requirements

• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred; consignment or resale experience a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable with computers and POS systems
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
• A professional, flexible, and team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales Support Greet all customers warmly and provide excellent service throughout their checkout experience Answer questions regarding pricing, return policies, promotions, and store procedures Engage in upselling when appropriate and support a positive store experience
• Register Operation & Transactions Accurately operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, including ringing up items, applying discounts, and processing various forms of payment Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with store policy Issue receipts, bag purchases neatly, and thank each customer upon checkout
• Accuracy & Inventory Awareness Verify prices and tag readability on merchandise at checkout Ensure all items are properly scanned and logged during the transaction Alert management to any discrepancies, scanning issues, or unusual activity
• Floor Team Collaboration Work closely with Sales Associates, Intake, and Floor Support teams to maintain smooth front-end operations Restock small merchandise displays near the register as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance at the front counter This position requires standing for long periods of time, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Cash Handling & Compliance Count drawer at beginning and end of shift; reconcile cash and reports accurately Follow all company procedures for handling credit cards, gift cards, and cash Maintain confidentiality and adhere to store policies regarding customer information and payment handling
