About The Position

The position of Lunchroom Monitor at Maggie B. Selman Elementary School involves assisting, monitoring, and supervising students in the cafeteria during lunch. The role is essential for maintaining a positive and orderly lunchroom environment.

Requirements

• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise students in the cafeteria.
• Help students advance through the serving line and past the cashier.
• Maintain a lunchroom atmosphere of cheerfulness, cleanliness, orderliness and personal caring.
• Manage student behavior in the cafeteria and make discipline referrals to campus administration.
• Assist in clearing and wiping cafeteria tables.
• Help students exit the cafeteria and return to their classrooms in a safe and orderly manner.
• Attendance at work is an essential function.
• Other duties as assigned by the campus principal or designee.
