About The Position

Windham Academy is seeking a reliable, attentive, and student-centered School Lunch Monitor to help maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment during student lunch periods and recess transitions. The Lunch Monitor plays an important role in supporting student supervision, reinforcing school expectations, and ensuring the well-being of all students during non-instructional time.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria and/or designated lunch areas during assigned lunch periods.
• Promote and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Monitor student behavior and ensure adherence to school rules and expectations.
• Assist students with minor needs (opening containers, spills, seating guidance, etc.).
• Support smooth transitions to and from lunch and recess.
• Address minor behavioral concerns and refer ongoing or significant issues to administration.
• Ensure cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas, encouraging students to clean up after themselves.
